1958 Gibson Les Paul “Goldtop”

What makes this guitar desirable?  The les Paul guitar from this period are expertly made pieces of American fine art.  They display all of what makes American made matter, quality, functionality, simplicity and beauty.  Beyond a work of art, these instruments have played a vital part in music history.  They have been an anchor in recorded music.  This is an opportunity to own an instrument that is an icon itself!

The sunburst Les Paul was produced for a much longer period of time than the Humbucker Goldtops.

From 1957 thru 1958 the (P.A.F.) Goldtop had a total production number of just 490 instruments, only 109 of them were shipped in 1958.  Of the 490 total, how many were bigsby equipped, and how many are now broken or in less stellar condition.

This stunning 1958 Les Paul “Goldtop” is a one owner guitar and includes the original handtags.  The timeless American quality is obvious the second you hold this work of art.  Weighing in at approximately 8 lbs, the over-all feel & tone are simply “magical”.  This “rare” 100% original ’58 Goldtop, deserves to the cornerstone of one serious collection.
